Seth Weinstein of Swedish Wooden House & the Lexington Development Corporation on Madison Avenue in New York City met Swedish developer & entrepreneur Adam Backstrom and, impressed by Swedish energy efficiency, exacting modular technology and design sophistication, Weinstein shipped 16 kit homes by sea container to the Eagles at Sugarbush in 1981.

Greenwich, CT architect Ted Graves modied the original designs by blowing open the cathedral great room, replacing small 2nd floor cubicles with a master & sauna, and adding the decks expanding appeal to Americans. They were built with developer Bald Eagle Associates.

For over 35 years the Eagles have been managed and cared for by wonderful Doreene Stewart who continues to orchestrate the Eagles renaissance, sales & rentals with the Eagles Board of Directors.
